Who Am I?

Hi, I am Gemma Illescas, my career as a psychologist began in 2006, working at Valencia’s University Jaume I.

An opportunity to become a part of well-reputated clinic presented to me few years later, where I got to work with children, adolescents and families. I collaborated with a Clinical Psychologist in Court Family cases, who was well-known for wining all cases in Court. In addition to this, I learnt about the insides of sports psychology and the impact of mental health in elite sports, like Motorbike and Car Racing, Snowboard, Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Rock Climbing, Tennis.

In summary, I learnt the skill to help athletes perform and maximise their potential, giving the best version of themselves. Another area of expertise and passion is ADHD, in which I have been working for seventeen years. The lack of understanding and negativity around ADHD has motivated me to develop a model of intervention based in Psychology and Coaching.

I also have great experience working with clients who have Autism; I believe them having such an amazing brain and view of the world. It is an honour to be part of my clients’ journey, in finding their way to living a reach and meaningful life. Anxiety, Depression and Trauma Informed Practices are in the background of my expertise and knowledge.

It is fulfilling and rewarding to have as a job what I like and love; I feel the winner!

I have learnt from European and Australian colleagues, the way to approach the same psychological challenge with different interventions and models which, I have found can work together to achieve successful outcomes. I am here to help you better understand yourself, and feel free to life live your way.

Each individual is unique with a unique brain wiring…

This is the reason why your intervention will be individualised so it works for you.
